About Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an island in the Indian Ocean, only 50 km far away from India, which you can explore very well during a round trip. Sri Lanka is home to Buddhists, Hindus and nowadays also Muslims. There are also a few Christians in Sri Lanka.

With its many temples and religious sites, Sri Lanka has become a popular tourist destination.

Between 1983 and 2009, there was a bloody civil war between the Singalese, that is the majority of the population, and the Tamils, who are the largest minority. Since the end is largely calm on the island and it is very safe to travel. I have been to Sri Lanka 7 times and I always felt very safe off the beaten path.

The island is known for the production of tea, rubber and the export of coconuts.

Sri Lanka Tour

Sri Lanka has many places that are worth visiting.

On the map you can easily see the most important round trip destinations. From this I can put together a tour for you according to your wishes. Keep in mind, however, that the infrastructure does not exist as in Europe, so the routes appear to be short but take more time than at your home.

After you arrived at the airport in Colombo I can pick you up. Then we can start our tour directly and at the end ypu can spend some days at the beach of Bentota and Beruwala. If you wish, we can also take a train on the most beautiful stretch between Kandy and Ella, passing beautiful tea plantations and breathtaking scenery.

I have already summarized a brief overview of important goals on the start page. Just let me know what you are interested in and leave the rest up to me.
